Janelle C. Howell was raised in Huntsville, AL and and graduated in 2013 with a B.S. in Pre-Physical Therapy from Oakwood University, a Christian historically black college & university. Janelle then moved to the west coast to complete her doctorate in physical therapy at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, CA by fall of 2015. She soon began treating in the outpatient orthopedic setting and traveling physical therapy. In 2018, she began working as a Women’s Health Physical Therapist at the Alta Bates Medical Center Clinic in Oakland, CA. After treating there for one year, she decided to specialize in Women’s Health Physical Therapy. In late 2018, she got accepted to the Women’s Health Physical Therapy Residency Program at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago and went on to complete the program which led to her Board Certified Women's Health Specialty credentialing in 2020 (WCS). She now treats urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, painful sex, constipation, and post partum perineal trauma at the Northwestern Medical Center in Chicago, IL. She enjoys baking, traveling, going to the beach, writing, and preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ at home and abroad. But more than anything, she is passionate about teaching others how to love their bodies in ways that unlock their highest levels of vaginal health and happiness.
